The idea of my independent project was initially just different rooms in the house, I did not really think about their style and design. I gave this project the name “Dream House”, consists of five rooms, five paintings, in Provence style. The rooms are bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom, and the hall with the front door from inside. I had references for all of my paintings, but I did not add all the details from the references. I was trying to combine two or three pictures of one room that I found on the Internet, so it does not look like a coping because I also added other details. I decided that I would do my project with paints because I was interested in studying this material, tools more. I have used paints in my works only a few times in my life, and I did not try to understand how to do it correctly. I like how the works look with paints and I wanted to see if I could do some similar paintings.
For my project I chose the Provence style. At the beginning of planning what my project will look like, I was thinking about some kind of non-modern interior. I prefer old styles in warm bright shades, with elements of wood, so I chose the Provence style. My independent project does not have any special big meaning behind it. I chose this particular topic because I am interested in design, interior architecture and everything connected with it, and I hope in the future I will somehow be able to connect my life and my job with this. I understood this project as a chance to show who I am and what my interests are through this independent project, through my own work. The main goals of this independent project for me was to learn something new, so that I would understand that I had to spend so much time and effort in vain. Learning how to use paints correctly, mix colors, manage your time, be responsible for your work and your result, these were the goals of my project. I had some difficulties when I was working on my paintings, there were a lot of details that I had to pay really close attention to, so I had to spend some of my free time finishing my works on time.
